Unique spaces guaranteed to last

A beautiful landscape is more than meets the eye. We treat every project individually thinking about soil type, sun direction, drainage, budget and long-term maintenance. Our work is guaranteed so you can enjoy your new space, hassle free for years to come.

Extensive range of products and options

Our showroom has physical and documented product samples from a wide range of local suppliers as well as out of province. We will help you choose between the vast array of different types, sizes and colours of materials on offer. After 15+ years in business, we’ve found the best suppliers to ensure that you get quality and value for your money.

Trained professionals

Our award-winning team has a lot to be proud of. Our credentials include Certified Irrigation Technicians, Certified Horticulturalists and Project Managers. We also have experience in carpentry and paving stones. All accompanied by connections with trusted and experienced sub contractors to help bring any project to completion.

Community and environment

We live, work and play in the Elk Valley and understand the importance of giving back to our small communities. Blue Spruce and our employees actively support various community initiatives, non-profits and events in the local area.

We understand that residential and commercial landscapes have different needs, budgets and constraints so we make the process easy. Our knowledge of the local climate, bylaws and needs of the town allows us to design the perfect landscape or we can suggest modifying existing landscape plans.

We design your landscape in a 3d computer model which results in extra accuracy for material quantities, less change orders and ensures that the final design is as expected.

Blue Spruce has a long history of working closely with small and large commercial companies.

Eco Options

We’re proud to have been part of so many projects that promote sustainable and environmentally conscious options and want to encourage our clients and community to do the same. Some of the things we can do include:

A FireSmart yard involves making smart choices for your plants, shrubs, grass and mulch. Selecting fire resistant plants and materials can increase the likelihood of your home surviving a wildfire.

The Elk Valley already has many FireSmart communities and it’s up to everyone to do their bit. We have helped individuals and communities get their space FireSmart ready and certified. For more information visit FireSmart Canada.

Did you know that many insurance providers offer a discount if your community is FireSmart ready?

FireSmart

Our team of trained landscapers pride themselves in the work they do and the satisfaction they bring to our clients. Our Landscaping team were recognized as Team of the Year by the Fernie Business Excellence Awards in 2016.

Since 2008, Mow and Snow have provided landscape design and construction services.

In 2020, we established Blue Spruce Landscapes to make it easier for our community and clients to differentiate our expanding Landscape division while continuing to provide snow removal and lawn care with Mow and Snow.

We’re still the same team you know and love, just with a different name behind the landscape design and construction side of the business. It is our hope that the new brand will help connect future and existing clients with all our services.
